In order to properly inform you about matters related to the processing of personal data, especially in view of the provisions of data protection regulations—including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation—hereinafter “GDPR”) — the Institute of the Polish Language of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IJP PAN) provides this document to inform you about the legal bases for processing personal data, the methods of their collection and use, and the related rights of data subjects.

The Institute of the Polish Language of the Polish Academy of Sciences (“IJP PAN”) attaches particular importance to respecting the privacy of users of its website at https://ijp.pan.pl hereinafter referred to as the “Portal.” Therefore, IJP PAN implements the following Privacy Policy and encourages every user to familiarize themselves with it:
Personal data on the Portal may be collected through the following actions:
- Information provided in forms placed on the Portal;
- Information collected automatically during the use of the Portal: data automatically recorded in server and Portal logs, and “cookies” files.
Information collected automatically is used for the following purposes: administering servers and the Portal, ensuring security and protection of data and the Portal, providing specific services to the user, adapting the Portal to users’ needs, and creating statistics on page views of the Portal’s subpages. IJP PAN makes every effort to protect the Portal along with the data processed on it, including protection against unauthorized access by third parties. To this end, IJP PAN employs physical security measures, security systems safeguarding access to servers and services, and cryptographic solutions. Personal data are made available only to those employees and entities who require access to perform their tasks and are processed solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
